Torah Was An Integrity Test!

A father leaves a valuable thing ― say a $100 bill (it could be anything) ― in a place that makes it appear as if he simply dropped it, but where his son will eventually find it. The lesson is to see what his son will do, once he comes across it. Will he pocket it and keep quiet about it? Or will he return it to the father? It is not that the father needs the $100; he spends more than that on his son, and if his son asked for a $100 he would give it to him. This is a test to see what he will do with it, unsupervised; volitionally; freely; it is an integrity test (Luke 16 summarized): We are being tested. Why? To test integrity; to expose character!

The reason for Torah instruction (often mistranslated as law, a human concept of absolutes), was to guide the thoughts and actions of the human creation; proverbially, to tame the savage. Thus, laws, ordinances, oaths, covenants, rules, decrees, statutes, and commandments, which were first revealed to humanity, by YHVH, via the Tanakh, but were later exploited by the anti-Messianic religious authoritarians to control the acts of the Faithless–Loveless, the Broadway masses (Matt 7).

Torah was impressed upon our species, by The Inspirer, Ruach HaKodesh, and then later, transmuted, albeit poorly, into secular written law, so that people could be shamed, coerced, penalized, fined, or even physically forced into doing, that which YHVH–Love would compel them to do, on their own, intrinsically and without even being told. Law exists to force the human masses to do what all Love conquered humans can only do!

Ruach HaKodesh constrains us from being or thinking or acting, in any way that does not mirror the doctrine and lifestyle of Messiah Yeshua (2Co 5). All Torah is fulfilled in one word: Love! The Messianic Cross is Love on display!

For, brethren, you have been called unto liberty {ἐλευθερίᾳ}; only, do not use liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by Love serve one another. For all Torah is fulfilled in one word, even in this: You shall Love your neighbor as yourself! But if you bite and devour one another, take heed that you be not consumed, one of another. This I say then; walk in the Spirit and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh, and these are contrary, the one to the other, so that you cannot do the things that you would. But if you are led of the Spirit, you are not under the Torah.
Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, sedition, heresies, envying, murders, drunkenness, and reveling, and such like, of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they that do such things shall not inherit the Kingdom of YHVH. But the fruit of the Spirit is Love, then joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance, against such there is no law. (Gal 5:13–23)

As a Messianic disciple, I would rather be killed (yea, crucified) than to knowingly act in any way that is not YHVH–Love centered; that is, the one and only universal and eternally valid Law: The Law of Love! I do not need a darkness destined person to tell me how to live or behave or think; indeed (and conversely), it is our duty as Messianic disciples, to be living out Messianic Love, in lifestyle, but also, to be teaching the (potentially) Darkness destined masses, how to live and think and act (John 3:19–21; John 16:7–11; Eph 5:8–17; 1Ti 1:8–11; 2Ti 4:1–5).

Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: Therefore, you be as wise as serpents, and harmless as doves! But beware of men, for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues, and you shall be brought before governors and kings for My sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles. But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what you shall speak; for it shall be given to you in that same hour what you shall speak. For it is not you that speaks, but the Spirit of your Father that speaks in you. And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child, and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death. And you shall be hated of all men for My names sake, but he that endures to the end shall be saved!
But when they persecute you in this city, you flee into another, for verily I say unto you: You shall not have gone over the cities of Israel until the Son of Man has come! The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord. It is enough for the disciple that he is as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household? Fear them not therefore, for there is nothing covered that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be made known. What I tell you in darkness, you speak that in light, and what you hear in the ear; that, you preach upon the housetops. And fear not them, which can kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: But rather, fear Him that is able to destroy both soul and body in Sheol!
(Matt 10:16–28)

Then Yeshua said unto them: Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees! And they reasoned among themselves, saying: It is because we have taken no bread. Which when Yeshua perceived, He said unto them: O you of little faith, why do you reason among yourselves, because you have brought no bread? Do you not yet understand? Nor remember the five loaves of the five thousand and how many baskets you took up? Neither the seven loaves of the four thousand, and how many baskets you took up? How is it that you do not understand that I spoke it not to you concerning bread; that you should beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees? Then they understood how that He bade them not to beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees. (Matt 16:6–12)

And He charged them, saying: Take heed; beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, and of the leaven of Herod. (Mark 8:15)

And He said unto them in His doctrine: Beware of the scribes who love to go in long clothing, and love salutations in the marketplaces, and the chief seats in the synagogues, and the uppermost rooms at feasts; who devour widows' houses, and for pretense, make long prayers: These shall receive greater damnation! Then Yeshua sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury; and many that were rich cast in much. And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing. So He called unto Him, His disciples, and said unto them: Amen, I say unto you that this poor widow has cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury: For all they did cast in was of their abundance, but she of her want, did cast in all that she had, even all her living. (Mark 12:38–44)

Then one of the lawyers answered, and said unto Him: Master, thus saying, you reproach us also. And He said: Woe unto you also, you lawyers! For you lade men with burdens grievous to be borne, and you yourselves do not touch the burdens with one of your fingers. Woe unto you! You build the sepulchers of the prophets, and your fathers killed them. Truly you bear witness that you allow the deeds of your fathers, for they indeed killed them, and you build their sepulchers.
Therefore, the Wisdom of Elohim also says: I will send them prophets and apostles, and some of them, they shall slay and persecute, so the blood of all the prophets, which was shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation; from the blood of Abel unto the blood of Zechariah, which perished between the altar and the temple. Amen, I say unto you; it shall be required of this generation. Woe unto you, lawyers! You have taken away the key of knowledge: You entered not in yourselves, while them that were entering in, you hindered.
And as He said these things unto them, the scribes and the Pharisees began to urge Him vehemently, to provoke Him to speak of many things. They laid in wait for Him, seeking to catch something out of His mouth, so they might accuse Him. (Luke 11:45–54)
